Google showed off during Wednesday’s Google I/O Developers Conference a Chrome game that can build a race track based on the number of mobile devices present. Racer allows players to compete side-by-side on the track just rendered for them.
Racer uses HTML 5 to work on all devices, meaning it works with Android and iOS tablets and phones that can install the Chrome browser. You simply point your mobile Chrome to g.co/racer to set up and play. Once you’ve got your devices synced, the main color on top of the screen represents which color track your car is racing on.
To control Racer, you simply press on your screen to accelerate your car along its color-coded track. There’s some subtlety needed, as cars can spin off the track if they blow past a curve too quickly.
